- Figure out your passions
- Determine what you want to write about
- Make sure you organize your thoughts
- Ensure you are strong in grammar and spelling - do not rely on spell check and grammar check as they are often not accurate; make sure you know the difference between homonyms such as there, their and they're; make sure you know exceptions to phonics and grammar rules that will not be built into spell check or grammar check
- If you are not strong in grammar and spelling, consider taking a remedial class at community college or find an editor for your submission
- Determine the platform for your writing - do you want to write a blog, poetry, cook book, how-to book, short stories, novels, etc.?
This blog started as a Test blog, but as I realized how little I understood, it quickly turned into a blog to help people navigate the world of blogging. As I figure it out, I will be posting about my learning experience. Feel free to learn from my mistakes, and laugh with me along the way!
